Excellent restaurant. One of the few family restaurants left in Bethesda, which is sadly morphing from a low-key but classy area to a megalopolis with overpriced, loud, classless chains and high-rise obscenities. Most of the best places have closed their doors, probably wisely selling out to the financiers and moving to someplace livable in Europe. Anyway, here, for now, you'll still find good food, a quiet atmosphere, and some nostalgia if you've lived in bethesda as long as I have. This place usually turns into the favorite restaurant of anyone I introduce it to. Pity it's not open for lunch.

One of the many Bethesda gem. We went for dinner on a Friday night, and our experience was great. The food was so flavorful and delicious. The server recommended us both plates and they were great. Would definitely go back again! I

Came here on for a casual evening dinner with my team late last week and to say the least the food, service and ambiance were through the roof! I had there chicken kabob and was amazed by how much flavor their was in the dish. Will be coming back soon. Would recommend this spot to anyone coming to the Bethesda area.
Thanks again. -

Awful vegetarian food. The spinach dish was so salty it gave me a headache and the pumpkin dish was SO sweet it tasted candied. Both seemed like they came out of a can and neither had any visible other ingredients in them--meaning they did not use fresh onions, tomatoes, garlic or other spices.

Excellent in every way. Hard for me to order ethnic foods due to allergies but Sonya took great care and presented delicious Afghani food, top-notch service, just-right atmosphere for catching up with friends. Everyone raved. Now my #1 in Bethesda. Really special. Home-cooking. Family owned.
